Welcome to Skylark Elementary School. 

Our mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment where classroom instruction is stimulating, rigorous, and leads to students’ academic success.  Families are recognized as partners in providing a solid foundation and high expectations for our children to succeed and reach their full potential.

Our staff is trained in effective, research-based instructional practices to deliver standards-based curriculum.  Our teachers work diligently to meet the needs of our diverse student population.  Our students are given the necessary tools to succeed as scholars and reach their academic goals.

Our families are strongly encouraged to join our parent groups such as School Site Council, English Learner Advisory Committee, Parent-Teacher Organization, and are invited to attend our monthly Family Education programs, such as Pastries with Parents, Family Literacy and Math nights.  Together we form a collaborative team working toward one common goal:  student achievement.

We are also very fortunate to have a strong partnership with Boys & Girls Club of Garden Grove.  Our students are able to participate in this after school program, where they receive homework support, tutoring, extended learning opportunities in reading and math.  They also participate in sports and extracurricular activities such as computers, art, and fieldtrips. In partnership with our schools, the club reinforces the Be Great Traits, teaching students Respect, Responsibility and Safety rules.
