Stage Production
Stage Production Grading
How to earn points for the semester:
Participation:
- 1 point / day of participation
- 1 point / day of department work outside of class
- 1 point / after school rehearsal
- 1 point / peer response
Performances (semester productions do not count):
- Scenes: 2 points / page your character is on (response packet and personal evaluation required) (average script pages assumed, some scripts will be worth more or less, ask Mr. Martin for exact point value)
- Monologues: 4 points / page (response packet and personal evaluation required)
Attend Live Theater Performances (up to 25 points possible):
- 5 points / play attended (ticket stub and 1 page review required)
Read Plays (up to 25 points possible):
- 5 points / full length play read (completed Play Assessment Form required)
- 2 points / one-act read (completed Play Assessment Form required)
Items which can negatively effect your grade:
- 0 points / day of attending without materials (ie: notebook, scripts, homework, etc.)
- 0 points / tardy to class or after school rehearsal
- -2 point / after school rehearsal missed
- -5 point / time caught with food or drink in class
To earn an A you must have:
- 30 points in performances
- 10 points in plays seen
- 10 points in plays read
- At least 150 points
To earn a B you must have:
- 20 points in performances
- 5 points in plays seen
- 10 points in plays read
- At least 140 points
To earn a C you must have:
- 10 points in performances
- 5 points in plays seen
- 5 points in plays read
- At least 125 points
To earn a D you must have:
- 10 points in performances
- 5 points in plays read
- At least 100 points
Items which will guarantee an F:
- Less than 10 points in performances
- Not reading any plays
- Earning less than 100 points
