Dear Peters K-3 Families,

I want to welcome you back to another school year at Peters K-3. As the principal of Peters K-3 I am excited to get to know each of you. It is an honor to be the leader of Peters K-3 and I hope that we will work together to provide the best educational experience for your child. We welcome any suggestions, comments or concerns and hope that this will be an exciting year.

SCHOOL HOURS

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday,  Friday: 7:55a.m. – 2:15p.m.

Wednesdays: 7:55-1:25

Parents interested in before/after school child care programs for students should contact the Boys & Girls Club at 714-537-1465 for information.

CROSSING GUARD

Peters School’s crossing guard will be on duty each day before school, mid-day as students are dismissed.  Children must NOT CROSS Newhope Street alone. Students MUST wait for the guard.

BREAKFAST

Breakfast will be available for students each day at 7:40a.m.- 7:55 a.m. and 8:30-8:50 for the second kinder morning arrival. Students should not arrive at school before 7:40 because there is no supervision.  Supervision is not available prior to that time.  Student breakfast: $1.25 (includes milk); milk only: 50 cents.

LUNCH PRICES

Your child may bring a sack lunch and buy milk (45 cents a day) or may buy lunch.  Full-cost lunch is $1.50 per day and reduced lunch is 40 cents per day.  Pre-paid lunch is available by sending a check (any amount, even for the whole year) to the school office.  The free or reduced-priced meal program is available to those who qualify for this program. New students registering on or after the first day of school will receive an application when they register.
