Dear Parents and Students,
 

Welcome back to the 2005-2006 school year.  I hope you had a fun-filled summer and that you are ready to take on the challenges of a new grade level. 

Class lists will be posted on the fence near the parking lot on Friday afternoon, Sept. 2.  Please remember that all class placements are tentative until the end of the September.

Each year we have to make adjustments according to our enrollment.  Please do not be upset if your class assignment changes before the end of the month.  All Monroe teachers are excellent instructors and learning takes places in every classroom.

Before school starts you might want to have a family meeting regarding homework, television, and bed time.  Students are expected to complete their homework and read each day.  Parents need to limit the amount of time that children are allowed to watch television.  All studies report the same findings:  the more time spent watching TV, the lower the grades.  Also, growing children need a minimum of eight hours of sleep a night; many children need even more.  Well rested children are better students.
