ROP
Parents are reminded that the Regional Occupational Program (R.O.P.) classes are an important component of the high school experience. R.O.P. is for everyone. Competition for jobs and college placement are so intense that every student needs an edge. R.O.P. can give them that edge. Through R.O.P. students gain valuable career experience and develop skills and training for the workplace. Many R.O.P. courses offer internships, giving students actual hands-on training in business and industry. For the college-bound student who has already chosen a field of study, R.O.P. can help solidify their choice and provide the training and contacts necessary to provide the student with a critical headstart toward a successful career. For the college-bound student who has not yet chosen a career path, R.O.P. provides career related experiences to help focus their direction.
Schedules of classes and registration materials are available in the Career Center. If you have any questions or would like more information about R.O.P. classes please contact Mrs. Cornett in Room 228. Mrs. Cornett is available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:30a.m.—1:00p.m. and Thursday from 11:30a.m.—3:00p.m.
