| 2005, the State ranked La Quinta “9” on a scale of “10” based upon a review of Statewide Academic Performance of all high schools. |
| 2005, La Quinta was nominated for its second “Title 1 Achievement Award” by the State of California for closing the achievement gap. |
| 2005, Ashley Bremmer and Kristine Nguyen were selected for the All-State Honor Choir. |
| 2005, the Orchestra performed at the CMEA State Music Convention. |
| 2004, La Quinta scored 757 on its Academic Performance Index, the highest score in the Garden Grove Unified School District. |
| 2004, La Quinta met “No Child Left Behind” goals with most students achieving proficiency levels on the High School Exit Exam on both the English and math sections of the test. |
| 2004, La Quinta students continued to score well on the California High School Exit Exam with a 90% pass rate on the math section and a 82.5% pass rate on the English section of the test. |
| 2004, the Varsity Baseball team won the Garden Grove League Championship for the 12 th year in a row. CIF Semi-Finalists. |
| 2004, Dave Demarest named National High School Coach of the Year and Westminster Chamber of Commerce Teacher of the Year. |
| 2004, 9 students had their photos displayed in the Laguna Art Festival, the most ever from one school. Only 36 images out of almost 900 submitted were chosen and 9 of the 36 came from La Quinta students. |
2004, the Boys Varsity Volleyball team won the Garden Grove League Championship.
