According to many, Wilson Homer is considered one of the greatest American artists of his time (19th century).  His interest was people in the outdoors doing a wide variety of enjoyable activities.  His paintings reflected the times, the brushstrokes captured the feelings of the moment, and his work is still enjoyed today.
