CST testing last week at Garden Park Elementary School went smoothly and as planned. Our students took the state testing as an opportunity to show the world how much they have learned throughout the school year. We want to thank all of our parents and caregivers for their support during this annual assessment.

Hello Family of Garden Park Elementary,

Here are a few updates related to the Garden Park community:

1) No school Monday, May 28, 2012 in honor of Memorial Day.

2) Begining Tuesday, May 29th, the new 7-digit student number will be required when purchasing lunch. To help with this transition, all of our students will be given a student ID card with their ID number. The 7-digit student ID number is the same one that was issued to your child on their first day of school. This 7-digit number will be your child's student ID number throughout their educational journey within the Garden Grove Unified School District. Beginning next year, this same number will be used for checking out library books, taking Accelerated Reader (AR) quizzes, and purchasing meals at school. If you can not locate your child's ID number, please contact the school office or your child's teacher.

3) OPEN HOUSE is May 30th from 06:00-07:30 p.m.

4) OUTDOOR SCIENCE SCHOOL information meet is May 30th from 07:15-07:33 p.m. in the MPR.

5) BOOK FAIR begins May 28 and ends on June 1st. The book fair will be open daily for one hour after school (M, T, Th & F - 02:30-03:30 pm and Wednesday 01:00-02:05 p.m.) The Book Fair will be open on Open House night from 07:00-08:15 p.m. The Book Fair will be held in room 1.
