Hello Garden Park Family,

Here is your bi-weekly update regarding our modernization project journey.  As you can imagine, this modernization project will be a monumental task and creates an enourmous amount of questions and concerns.

Over the last two weeks, many of you have shared concerns as well as asked excellent questions regarding our temporary move to the Patton Elementary School site (2012/2013 academic school year).  Every written question is given to the district office, placed in a database of questions, and given to the appropriate department to answer.  As you can imagine, the list of questions continue to grow.

The three most common questions asked by our Garden Park community are:

• Will transportation be provided for my children to go to and from Patton Elementary School?
• Will my children have Garden Park Elementary School teachers or will he/she have a Patton Elementary School teacher?
• What time will school start and end next year?

Transportation will be provided for all Garden Park Elementary School students both to and from Patton Elementary School during the 20122/2013 school year.  Once the pick-up time has been determined, all students at the Garden Park bus stop will be transported to Patton Elementary.  The bus stop will be at Garden Park Elementary School.

Garden Park Elementary School students will have a teacher from Garden Park Elementary School.  The exact location of Garden Park classrooms while at the Patton site still needs to be determined.

Start time and end time for the 2012/2013 school year has yet to be determined.  This will be generated by the district office.  As soon as we get confirmation of the start and end time, the Garden Park community will be notified.

On Tuesday, February 28, at 2:30 pm our School Site Council will be conducting a study session at which we will be reviewing all questions and concerns that need to be considered in the months ahead.  Although we will not be able to immediately answer your questions, we are committed to address them all by the end of the school year.
