Date: Immediate Patton Elementary School Collects Pennies for So. Cal. Fire Victims Students at Patton Elementary School in Garden Grove scoured for pennies and collected $336.50 to benefit victims of the recent Southern California fires. Student Council representatives neatly organized the pennies into rolls that were presented to firefighters from Garden Grove Fire Station No. 4 at a school assembly on January 16. The donation will be given to the Red Cross Southern California Fire Relief Fund. The penny drive was held last year from November 19 to December 12.
