Date: Immediate Lake Int. School Students Collect More Than 5,300 Books for County Children's Shelter Hard-working teens from Lake Intermediate School in Garden Grove have collected more than 5,300 books for Orangewood Children’s Home in Orange, the county’s emergency shelter for neglected children. Students gathered new and used books over nine school days this month as service project for two ‘Young Living’ classes of teacher Caren Glowalla. Eighth-grader Samantha Howe donated 660 books, the largest total by any one student. Lake Intermediate School is located at 10801 Orangewood Ave.
