La Quinta High School in Westminster, part of the Garden Grove Unified School District, will celebrate four decades of excellence as alumni and former employees return for the school’s 40th anniversary celebration scheduled November 13-15 as part of Homecoming Week activities.

Events kick off on Thursday, Nov. 13, with the Alumni Career Day program, in which La Quinta graduates share their insight, knowledge, and experience with current students. Slots are open for additional volunteer speakers. Interested alumni are urged to call La Quinta at (714) 663-6315.

Activities resume the next day, Friday, November 14, with the homecoming football game verses Bolsa Grande High School at Bolsa Stadium, 7 p.m. All alumni will be invited on the field for a group photograph during the half-time show.

The celebration culminates on Saturday, Nov. 15, with a reception from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. for alumni and current and former staff at Newport Rib Company, 2196 Harbor Blvd., Costa Mesa.

Tickets reservations for the appetizer buffet are $13 each, with checks made payable to and mailed to La Quinta High School, 10372 McFadden Ave., Westminster 92683. Reservations will be accepted until November 10.
