Date: Immediate Garden Grove High School Senior Wins TV Journalism Award Brian Quoc Dang of Garden Grove High School was one of five student winners of the 6th Annual Stan Chambers Journalism Awards essay competition. Brian, the only Orange County winner, received a $1,000 scholarship and had his video essay aired on the “KTLA-TV (Channel 5) Morning News: Early Edition” and “News at Ten.” The annual awards, named for the veteran KTLA news reporter, is designed to help high school seniors interested in news, journalism, and other related professions develop their skills. The theme of the contest was “What Matters Most.”
