Date: Immediate Ten GGUSD Schools Maintain Voluntary Uniform Programs
Its time for back-to-school shopping, and for some
parents in the Garden Grove Unified School District that means buying
new school uniforms. Ten of the districts 47 elementary schools
will maintain voluntary student uniform programs for the upcoming school
year beginning Thursday, Sept. 4. Uniform programs are in place at Carrillo, Carver, Heritage,
Hill, Marshall, Monroe, Newhope, Rosita, Russell, and Warren elementary
schools. The schools promote the uniform style of skirts, skorts, or
pants in navy blue with white blouses or shirts. Parents are allowed
to substitute red shirts or blouses at Carrillo and Heritage schools. School uniforms are available from many sources such
as local department stores, uniform stores, and on-line retailers. Additional
information on student uniform guidelines and where to buy student uniforms
is available from school offices. The Garden Grove Unified School District serves most of Garden Grove and portions of Santa Ana, Anaheim, Westminster, Fountain Valley, Stanton and Cypress. PR #270
