Ten GGUSD Schools Maintain Voluntary Uniform Programs

It’s time for back-to-school shopping, and for some parents in the Garden Grove Unified School District that means buying new school uniforms. Ten of the district’s 47 elementary schools will maintain voluntary student uniform programs for the upcoming school year beginning Thursday, Sept. 4.

Uniform programs are in place at Carrillo, Carver, Heritage, Hill, Marshall, Monroe, Newhope, Rosita, Russell, and Warren elementary schools. The schools promote the uniform style of skirts, skorts, or pants in navy blue with white blouses or shirts. Parents are allowed to substitute red shirts or blouses at Carrillo and Heritage schools.

School uniforms are available from many sources such as local department stores, uniform stores, and on-line retailers. Additional information on student uniform guidelines and where to buy student uniforms is available from school offices.

The Garden Grove Unified School District serves most of Garden Grove and portions of Santa Ana, Anaheim, Westminster, Fountain Valley, Stanton and Cypress.
