CAHSEE

  • California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) has two parts: English-language arts (ELA) and mathematics. The English Language Arts portion addresses state content standards through grade 10. The mathematics portion addresses state content standards through Algebra 1. Students must pass both sections of the test in order to receive a high school diploma beginning with the graduating class of 2006. The test is administered to grade 10 students in March. Students who do not pass one or more sections of the test in March may also take the test in November. A student has multiple opportunities to pass the exam prior to graduation.
