Federal Definition of Gifted

Students, children or youth who give evidence of high achievement capability in areas such as intellectual, creative, artistic, or leadership capacity, or in a specific academic field, and who need services and activities not ordinarily provided by the school in order to fully develop those capabilities.

The GATE Referral window for the winter GATE testing cycle is now closed. Winter GATE testing will take place in the month of February. If you missed the December 1, 2011 deadline, you may refer your child for the summer testing cycle. The referral application is due by 5 PM June 1, 2012.
