Brookhurst Elementary School strives to provide a standards based curriculum with high expectations for all students. We believe that every student can succeed at high levels. Our goal is to provide students with the skills they will need to be successful in life. The Garden Grove Unified School District has the following goals:

• Goal #1: Students in our district five years or longer will meet grade-level proficiency in core academic subjects as measured by the California Standards Test. (CST)

• Goal #2: English Learners in our district four years or longer will meet the English Proficient level as measured by proficiency on the California English Language Development Test. (CELDT).
