Spring sports at Bolsa Grande have just ended with five teams sending representatives on to CIF participation in boys' tennis, boys' volleyball, boys' swimming, and boys and girls' track and badminton. Tennis had a wild-card game at Cajon High School in San Bernardino on Tuesday, May 9. Swimming is was held at Belmont Shores in Long Beach on Tuesday, May 9 and Volleyball was at Santiago High School in Corona on Friday, May 12. Finally, track ran at Warren High School in Downey on Saturday, May 13.
All sports did a commendable job this past season with baseball improving every week and softball winning two games in league. Badminton finished third in league and is currently ranked in the top ten teams in Orange County. Boys' volleyball finished fourth in Garden Grove League while boys' tennis finished second in league with Preston Nguyen, the league champion, in singles and the doubles team of Brian Phi and Ahmad Qazi finishing second in league.
Swimming finished strong with League Champions and CIF Elden Carpenter, Henderson Huynh, Nicholas Lazenby, Marius Bangean, Christopher Huynh, and Roberto Paredes. Girls and boys' track both completed successful league seasons led by repeat MVP Rocio Pelayo, League Champions Paul Bangean, Klarissa Stovall and David Lopez as well as CIF qualifiers Gabriella Ponce, Linda Ly, Amy Ta, Kim Nguyen and Tammy Bui.
